Bartitsu and the Modern Practicing Thereof

I was of course aware of the scientific school of self-defence known as "Bartitsu", a blend of Jiujitsu, Boxing, Wrestling and fighting with the Cane devised by Mr E. W. Barton-Wright around the turn of the century, and referred to (if misspelt as "baritsu") in the well-known adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

I was not, however, aware that in fact one might learn to practice this Martial Art in the Modern Day. An entire society exists, as well as Courses of Education, such as Self Defence For Discerning Ladies And Gentlemen should one be in the environs of Coventry.

Allow me to provide an illustration of two somewhat casually-dressed modern gentlemen engaging in combatative practice, in order to demonstrate that I am not Confabulating:

An impressive display. In terms of my existence on the Grid, I would be most happy should I ever have the time to Animate and Script canes, parasols, bowler hats and sundry attachments allowing the bearer to engage in this form of combat.

Fraulein Ritterin,

You may find the martial art of the use of shillelagh (also called Irish stick fighting) to be another complement to bartitsu and to your arsenal.
