"Addendum: another of my flying devices has appeared in an excellent series of pictures - mine is the bulbous thing with doors, rather than the elegant ornithopter."

Lovely camera work by Miss Thibaud! But I must object to your implication that your wonderful Bomber is less than elegant. I particularly liked the little brass port windows and the functioning bomb bay doors. A solid, steady craft althogether, blessed with an ease of controllability. I feel much safer, knowing that such craft are up and about, protecting Caledon's blessed sovereignty.

Oh dear! It be even more unliveable than I dared imagine in my worst nightmares, this Other World! One shudders at the thought of what the future will bring, if Lord Linden continues on this path! Will we be forced to live under blankets or in boxes for eternity, to be safe from harm?

Well quite, it all seems rather rubbish. All sorts of annoying things appear to happen - one's bodily proportions modify themselves over time and are most inconvenient to change, the most awful sorts of resident-run governments exist, possessions are non-copiable, clothes frequently fit poorly and fall apart with use, one must rez or attach everything rather than have it in one's inventory (and remember where it has been rezzed!) and tier rates are extortionate.

In regard to the upcoming Voice feature, I really feel that these Otherwordly matters can't be of much value. An example: the other day, I met someone who insisted he wasn't able to fly in this Other World! Now who, in his or her right mind, would even want to consider having to exist in such an environment? So what be the use of importing aspects of it into our daily lives?
