Indeed it closely resembles the first example you offer in all respects. Examining your Aethernet journal by means of the pyro-vulpinically named FireFox browser on the Apple device seems to display the visitable indicators correctly (insofar as they are distinct in their appearance, each from the other). the 'the slightly-different-but-easier-to-remember option of using a simple image' works in both viewing tools.
