I suspect a bit of turbulence within the aether.  

The jump from reality to internet is startling; the jump from in-world to in-book must be hardly anything at all by comparison.  

I find the idea of installments arriving by post quite fascinating.  May you not experience packet loss, lag, or rubber-banding...</description>
